Hello Hunters.
The world is faced with a lingering waste crisis with most of them polluting our oceans, land and atmospheres.

Luckily there is a way we can convert this waste to usable clean energy with no harm done to the environment.
One of such innovation is the Wastebot
A machine that turns organic waste, plastic, manure into fuelgas for your cars and generator, heats water and provides heating gas for those long winter months all in the space of an hour.

Applications and benefits

  • Excellent for offgrid homes
  • Alternate source of electricity generation during disasters.
  • Reduces land pollution from landfilling
  • Great source of heat for Greenhouses.

So far the best Hunt I saw today. I remember seeing Polyethylene/plastic being turned to a fuel source some years ago. It's nice o see that the capabilities have extended even more. This should reduce household expenses in the long run and reduce the carbon footprint of the users. Decentralized attempts like this is better and easier to spread than centralized plants or recycling center.

It's also ideal for disaster situations and it is a great way to reduce overall waste especially in a city, Great Hunt!

I have approved it :)

This is an interesting product. I'm not so sure if the claim that it does "no damage to the environment" can really hold true, because lots of common household items that might end up being recycled in this machine could contain any number of potentially harmful chemicals. For example, one would think that a book would be fine to turn into energy by burning (it's mostly cellulose), but the glue that keeps the pages together is actually pretty harmful. So I find it inevitable that people will create toxic or harmful emissions from this product. Still, it's very nice for certain uses!

I concur with you. No recycling process or product is perfect. But we are trying to reach there, I guess!
We do need to compare and find the one that is best among all available recycling systems.

Yeah, exactly. It's a difficult task to find a way to recycle all or next to all products, but a lot of smart people are working on it, so it's far from impossible!

Great hunt(Industrial though)
But as an engineer I really love it. This is really a nice solution for handling waste at the source before it can disperse and contaminate the ecosystem.
I think it is a well designed innovative incinerator!!!

Energy is very expensive and there is product that can make us getting it at a very cheat cost without much stress. This hunt is awesome and I love the idea behind it.

LOL i click upvote because you got funny video - love it :joy:

No no no, it's super cool! for me.
Turning waste (trash) into cash (fuel gas & electric power, yes we can sell it too) is what we need so much.

This kind of technology is needed for a better environment. Imagine how many humans produce trash every day, even the same as what they eat every day. That is, it's "VERY MUCH".

Therefore, utilization with conversion to more useful products is needed. Moreover, we are already in a year where technology dominates the world.

It's time to use technology for a better world.

A great solution for the ever growing waste problem the whole world has. Just one big company has to jump on this train and soon a bunch will follow I'm sure and soon they have to do it since it won't be long until we reach the oil peak.

I'm quite impressed with this innovation. Technology will have to solve the problem it creates in the long run.

The Wastebot is a cool decentralized project to reduce the amount of household waste and turn it into usable energy.
The Website describes the project and the physical processes involved to make that happen. It also features a trainee programm that you can purchase for 250,-$ on how to learn to build one of these Wastebots by yourself.
I can see a lot of value in this project since it allows everybody to build its own wastebot and become more independent from the centralized power grid.
Great Hunt and thanks for sharing!

By transforming plastic into fuel with Wastebot, plastic becomes too valuable to throw away.

I am just wondering, if this would trigger of plastic usage again ? Fortunately plastic is banned at my place now, and we have now got good bags which are not plastic and will easily decompose.

Wonderful to note that plastic is banned at your place though I don't know how effectively it's being implemented. But your feedback here gives me hope.
Plastic bags are banned in my city too. But there are only a few periods of time when it's strictly implemented. Otherwise, it's life as usual.

But even if there is no plastic, this equipment should be helpful in disposing other organic wastes and converting them into useful energy. And if technology can deal with 100% of plastic waste, we shouldn't bother much about increase in its usage ...but only after we have got some practical solution in place. Until then, we need to continue campaigning against plastic.
