Hi Steemhunter!

This time I will try to review a new product from crowdfunding site indiegogo.com.

This product is called "neonious one", a programmable microcontroller board at will, to facilitate our IoT (Internet of Things) project.

On Board Web Based IDEs owned neonious able to combine various functions such as:

  • JavaScript ES 6
  • TypeScript
  • Node JS API
  • NPM Repositories
  • In addition, all can be directly connected to the internet either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

What about the interface it has ?. Of course, the entire interface is made very simple, easy to understand, and easy to master.

Programming and compilation can also be done quickly, as well as equipped with sophisticated libraries.

Energy-efficient CPUs are also implemented to save energy and cost.

Weaknesses: because it is still in beta stage, the possibility of bug is still very high.

    Pros

    • By far more energy efficient than a Raspberry Pi as observed
    • The smallest microcontroller board you have seen with both Wifi and Ethernet, yet.
    • great on-board browser IDE with full debugger. No need for installing software which will be great for the user.
    • You will be able to use external antenna, but this will not be software switchable.

    Cons

    • Unfamiliarity with the device
    • Complicated uses and design

    Overall, this product need more advertisements and exposure for the users to really familiar with it since it can be very beneficial
