Children from the age of 8 learn a lot about the use of solar power and how to drive machines and motors with the Solar Workshop Kit. A 64-page manual with illustrated instructions explains how to conduct 30 experiments and how to build 12 fully functional models, such as a solar-powered tractor, truck, treaded vehicle, car, elevator, drawbridge, fan, airplane, mobile and construction crane.
The Physics Solar Workshop explores the topic of solar energy, focusing on photovoltaic cells. You will learn how solar cells transform light into electrical energy, and how motors and mechanical devices can optimize the work done by this energy. You will build different types of vehicles and machines to demonstrate how gears can convert and transform power for different needs.

Nice way to introduce the power and utilization of solar energy with kids. It will not only help to enhance the skill and creativity of kids but it also help to understand the importance of solar energy. The energy which doesn't create adverse impact on environment.

Forget children 8 and over, take my money now. I can see myself sitting and playing with this kit for hours and I am well over eight years old. I kind of reminds me a lot of my dad erector set he had when I was a kid. The pieces just have that feeling to me. This looks like it would be a great way to get anyone involved in science. It also could be a great introduction to the growing world of solar power. Thanks for sharing. Nice hunt!
