Silent 64 is a midsized model in the line of SILENT YACHTS that are solar powered. It measures 19,43 m in length and 9,5 m in width and reaches a top speed of 20 knots.
With its electric engines powered by the sun through lithium batteries the Silent 64 yacht is noiseless, fumeless and emits less heat than diesel engines.
RANGE:
A SILENT yacht can cruise up to 100 miles a day without fuel, permanently and for weeks featuring virtually unlimited range.

Just like Jay said. I believe that there should be a backup power source in the case of emergencies. The sea can be a very lonely place.
But I am happy that more and more transportation vehicles are considering the environment.

It seems to me that this is the future of the energies on the planet, this and electricity, this is a concept that I always applaud, this luxury yacht, this is nice comfortable, and its power supply makes it special, without a doubt a great hunting, congratulations.

Great hunt @direwolf! I am not a big fan of boats but i can see the appeal of owning a boat and taking it out and spending time on it to relax on a weekend. This one is simply brilliant as its solar powered, so we will definitely not be polluting our seas anymore. The panels also look quite cool, tbh. Nice hunt!
I guess to stay safe you will still need the hybrid version with diesel to sail away when needed and no sun is around but it seems to be a nice solution to keep the noise on a low level and cruise environmentatlly.

100 miles a day without fuel, ?? this is amazing ... surely this is very expensive ...
What about the price, I am sure it is much more than the conventional yacht. Solar power is really good and would work best for a yacht but I believe there should be parallel other source as well to cater any kind of interruptions to solar power.
