Banks and Credit Card companies are constantly innovating, maybe at a slower pace then we all like, but we getting more technology from them.
In many countries banks are already offering cards with RFID chips with which we can pay at an in shop terminal without having to stick our card into the terminal. Some cards even allow payment without entering any code into the terminal.
Criminals are taking advantage of this, by using equipment one can simply buy from Amazon and other places. This equipment is able to skim the card by simply being close to the card, a meter is sufficient.
To protect cards from this type of skimming, Secrid created an extensive line of wallets using a metal frame for those cards that needs protection.
These wallets can hold not only cards, but also paper money. The cost is very modest: 50 Euro for a leather covered model, and 25 Euro for a metal model.
I'm a happy user of one of the leather covered wallets, already for years.

Pros:
It's very affordable given that it can save you tons of money.
I like the security, it can prevent theft.
Cons:
I 100% agree; Better save then sorry. One can already start with the card only version giving room for 4 to 6 cards for 25 Euro. Cards without raised characters, 6 cards will fit. When the card has raised characters, like credit cards have, 4 to 5 cards will fit, depending how the cards are inserted.
