Liberapay is an open source donation platform with non profit organization. It means they dont take fees from your donations like Patreon . It source code is available on github. Liberapay allows you to make anonymous donations. It is currently supporting 33 currencies for now and getting more soon. No crypto currency support also for now. They support also processing payments through Stripe and PayPal.
Why we should use donation services like that?
People who contribute to the commons need you to support their work. Building free software, spreading free knowledge, these things take time and cost money, not only to do the initial work, but also to maintain it over time.
Liberapay's recurrent donations system is designed to provide a stable crowdfunded basic income to creators, enabling them to keep doing great work that benefits everyone.
