We have seen the application of robotics in many areas of life - the home, office, industry, road traaffic, etc. But there are actually very few robots that can entertain us with exciting dance moves like the Murata Cheerleaders.
The Murata Cheerleaders is a group of robots that can dance for 1 hour non stop. The intricate dance moves and the coordination resembles that of a super-performing dance group.
How do they do it?
The Murata Cheerleaders get around balanced on a ball. Their key features are stabilization, which keeps them upright, and synchronization, which keeps them from colliding.
Please Murata Cheerleaders, can you tell us about yourself?
- We're each 36cm tall and weigh 1.5kg. That's about the size of a 2 liter plastic bottle.
- We're elementary school students full of energy and curiosity.
- We can dance for approximately one hour.
Watch them in action! Your kids would definitely love this!

Haha funny to watch for sure. I once played with the new "R2D2" toy which basically works the same way and found it quite entertaining to play. And these also perform a choreography.
