A robotic cockroach by name "HAMR" can swim on surface of water.

  • It can walk on land like a real cockroach

  • It can even walk underwater.

When HAMR wants to swim, it utilizes multifunctional foot pads that are reliant on surface tension and its induced buoyancy.

That said, if HAMR wants to sink underwater, it can even apply a voltage in order to break the surface of the water. This entire process is known as electrowetting.

It is 1.5 gram and we can find more than 60 joints.

Even it can carry payload of 1.44 grams without being drowning

It has got multipurpose foot pads. ad it depends entirely on surface tension.

have you seen diving beetle? The same way this robot works and paddles on the water surface to swim

    WOW IT'S AWESOME

    Pros:

    • Cool design and great idea from HAMR, I think it will inspire others to be able to create another robot that is really similar to the original.
    • In addition the HAMR robot really has great detail with a light weight but can carry items heavier than the weight of the robot itself.

    Cons:

    • None for this hunt

    It is great to see a great hunt from you and that is my opinion of your hunt

    This is a superb hunt @foodlovers thanks for sharing this one. Here's my mini review on the said post:

    Pros:

    • This can be used in multiple ways like stalking your crush checking people for security. For search and rescue missions especially in a devastated area wherein the place is too tight and small this baby can go ahead and do the work.

    • Super-lightweight technology! 1.5 grams insect type robot only .

    • It can also go underwater.

    Cons:

    • The durability of the microbot isn't shown there. Since it is inspired with one of the most hated insect if it will go to a person without the proper knowledge of the product who knows what will happen.
