Aether is an app and a platform that is reimagening communities and content online. It is like a Reddit and Steem/Steemit, but with goals to be private, ephemeral, decentralised. People can create communities based on their interests. All communities are public and anybody can write/contribute to any communities.

What I find interesting and different is ephermality that Aether is focusing on. All content disappears after some time, hence there is less or no pressure for content creators worrying about their content to remain on the platform forever.

Another main focus of Aether is democracy. Community members can elect their own community leaders and moderators. Moderators have more power over regular users and they can remove unwanted content. It seems content deleted by mods disappears immediately. At the same time users can disable mods and show a vote to impeach in that manner.
