There are two models fo AllSky 340 Cameras: AllSky-340M and AllSky-340C. These cameras are made by Diffraction Limited, a company that specializes in scientific imaging and develops imaging systems for astronomical, biomedical, industrial, and laboratory use.
Allsky 340 is one of their camera series and designed for observing the skies and monitoring weather conditions.
They recommend placing the camera at higher positions like roofs for a good view and better imaging. Cameras can be connected to a computer with cable wire or wirelessly via bluetooth.
Allsky 340 is weatherproof, its dome shaped housing protects the lens and has built in heated plates to keep the lens free of condestation. Heat also rises to the dome, and warming it keeps the drews off it and dries off raindrops.
