TwoTone is a fun web app that lets you convert data from tabular files like spreadsheets, comma-separated lists, or JSON like data into sound. Simply start the app, upload a file and create your composition. It is a web app with no server-side operations and it doesn't store files. Everything is done on the browser.
TwoTone explores the potential of turning data into sound, as the primary sense instead of sight, to uncover anomalies and insights through audioscapes rather than a visual chart or graph. In attaching individual time-based data sets and individual columns of data to variables in sound (pitch, volume), the tool can be a useful data communication tool to create a sonic representation of information.
