Why @steemhunt and token HUNT can fail...
You must heard so many times the expression: " A picture is worth a thousand words!"...
With that in mind i will start my case and i will justify as well why i add such a strong and not so positive title.
From the beginning i will have to let you know that i am a huge fan of @steemhunt and i hope that HUNT as a token will be very successful and this is the reason i am adding this thoughts as i do hope that things will change.
I love the concept behind the HUNT token so Kudos for the team and the minds behind the project... But sometimes a great project doesn't reflect well in practice!
Let's face it!
The idea behind the project is brilliant!
The way the system is working sucks for the moment!
Why i am saying this is because for the moment the way you can earn HUNT tokens mainly is by delegating steem power or by voting the posts (the hunts).
If i understand the part with the delegation and i am totally agree i don't see at all why you should get tokens just for vote.
It is obvious that the system is done in such way that the whales with major steem power to get more and the others... well just take a look at the first photo of the post!
The core and the blood that is pumping in to the @steemhunt heart are the posts, the hundreds of daily reviews done most of the 90% of time by minnows!
Imagine this scenario... Nobody will start posting anymore on @steemhunt and everybody will just delegate and wait for a hunt to be accepted and to vote it...But what there are no more hunts anymore... What you are going to vote?
That's why for me at least the system is done in such way that only the whales will make a lot of tokens and the rest whatever. You might say that you get voted and rewarded with Steem and so on ... i am talking here about Hunt as a token!
Yes the system is wrong!
Steemians who are adding daily hunts should be rewarded first of all with tokens because without them the whole concept will be forget in few days. They are the ones who are adding value to the platform and they should be rewarded. Not a simple vote!
Without the hundred hunts added daily the platform will be a ghost and your whale system will collapse...
Why not adding an incentive about the ones who are adding value to the platform as they are keeping the core of concept in one place with their posts!
It is to much to take from the greedy Whales!
Yes i do believe that the system should be change and all the ones who are adding reviews(hunts) should be rewarded as well. Of course the posts that don't qualify should get 0 and the rest according with the free vote system.
I wonder if anybody from the support team or @tabris will ever read or leave a comment with something constructive about this point of view...
As well since i am talking about improving HUNT as a token something have to be done about the main page when it comes to the top. As soon as the day change a lot of times the post from previous day are showing cutting down the visibility of the new ones. I know Rome was not build in few days but since this happens for a while should be something that should be fix right away.
As well more updates on Steemit from @steemhunt. I know there are a lot on Discord but we don't "live there" ... we are here on Steemit and since HUNT wants to be a SMT of Steem and @steemhunt is here more updates about the constant changes should be added... but again here not on Discord!
That's right i hope this post will bring up some positive debates and again it is done because i do believe in HUNT as a token and the whole concept behind it is great but still needs few more adjustments to became absolutely amazing!

Again the post wants to bring up some positive debates and i am glad to know that the Hunters are the most important ones but i do believe that point 3 that you mention should be implemented as soon as possible.
And i am really glad to know that an honest opinion is listen!

You make an error here: you make it sound as if the AirDrop is the system.
The AirDrop is a max. 500 day operation. A mechanic to bring users to Steemhunt.
When the AirDrop was announced it was mentioned that also hunters would receive tokens. Yet, most important demographic to grow right now are the curators.
We get more than 300 hunts submitted every day. At any time there’s 150-200+ hunts visible in the active window. Nobody will go through all of them. If right now we also allocate HUNT tokens to hunters... we will end up with double the amount of daily items and in 3 weeks you will complain you don’t find any products anymore. Yet, most hunts will still be undervoted because there aren’t enough upvoters in the userbase yet.
Also, Steemhunt isn’t a product database as such. Steemhunt is about the discovery of the “coolest” products every day. So even if only 50 products are submitted, that is fine. Even more so if +5,000 Steemians vote on them.
