Uplive is not a new streaming platform but it's one of the biggest streaming apps out there in terms of market value. It's 'fresh' because they recently decided to launch their own cryptocurrency called Gifto (which is a universal decentralized gifting protocol).
The first use case of Gifto on Uplive was on April this year.

For those new to streaming, Uplive is a platform where streamers can earn via gifts from viewers, or from contracts directly between Uplive and streamers.
Apparently the top streamers are earning about $50k a month (based on their site).
I've personally used Uplive in the past to watch streams and the streamers are mainly just talking to the audience. It isn't like Twitch or anything like that. They are more of lifestyle streamers.
Gifts are bought with real cash (burned my wallet) and given to streamers. Streamers then pocket a portion of the price of the gifts.
As of April, they started new gifts that are connected to the blockchain (without affecting existing ones). One of the reasons they're implementing blockchain (introducing Gifto) is because gifts are permanent (and can't be faked) thanks to blockchain tech.
It's not fully on blockchain yet, but it will be on the 3rd quarter of the year (according to their roadmap at least). I hope to see more and more of these platforms show up, increasing cryptocurrency adoption in the world.

This app UI looks like DLive LOL
seems like this app would be very hot if it is located in China, since streaming in China is a very big business. By switching the model from centralized to a decentralized ecosystem, removing the earning for the third party company.
I guess just have to wait until it is fully build in order to see how much this app can achieve!
