edX is an initiative which aims to increase the availability of education throughout the globe, and with that they made collaborations with the top and best universities in the world to come up with free online courses which has all the available courses every potential student or learner wants to pursue.
To make it easier edX made an application for this free online course initiative, both running in Android and iOS devices. These two applications are open source having an Apache License Version 2.

For me as an iOS device user, here are one of the coolest features I have noticed while I was using the application.
- Can easily download lots of subsection videos which is a great aid thanks to the new toggle controls of the app.
- Video Streaming made more convenient since it automatically adapts to your internet connection.
- As of today, there are 2309 free online courses being offered, and though all of them are free, if a user/student wants to have a certificate he needs to pay depending on the course and duration, the payment for the certificate is very reasonable, which is less than $100.
