Like google, Bloom is a suite of productivity apps. Just as it is typical of every open source project, It allows for collaboration amongst developers of applications and also make the world of interaction with applications more decentralized.
Still in it's beta phase and currently unknown how well this will fly but it is worth beaming one's attention to

We believe in a world of sharing and collaboration rather than greedy competition. We create the open infrastructure to change all work from read-only to read-write. When everyone can contribute, users become contributors and we greatly improve the quality of global human lifesource.

It looks like they don't even want to work on GitHub (Microsoft owned) to make their product open source. Have to respect that a little.
The project is still beta. So I don't want to have over hyped expectations. But this is some really awesome stuff. Great pick for a Hunt!
