I'm going to mention a small trick here used by Twitch (owned by Amazon) See that the you could divide the points by 100 and the USD value is slightly higher. It is extremely easy for the mind to divide things by 100 and think that the actual vale is slightly higher. The rough estimate is going to be 1 bit as $0.01 but this is very different when it comes to larger numbers.
When people spend, there are psychologically more likely o spend a little more than what they normally would have because of his setup. This is actually proven by some psychology research on people's spending habits in different currencies and the same thing applies to virtual currencies.
