Akai EWI USB is an electronic wind instrument for professional musicians looking for an easy-to-play, easy-to-use controller, especially if they are active in the studio spectrum.

You can use it connected through its midi entrance and you can play, almost organically, with sounds of synths, woodwinds, but mainly sounds that normally, as a woodwind player, you are not able to play them, because those sounds are most of the time produced by the keyboard-players who are using their synths.

Also, imagine that this EWI has a range of 8 octaves that can be covered.

I definitely recommend this EWI to all professional musicians and especially for studio sessions.

Its USB interface means that all you need is nearly any computer, such as Mac or PC and the included EWI USB software, and you’re ready to create, and record with a full collection of wind instrument sounds and an unprecedented level of expressive control.
