Many autonomous cars are coming out these days and people tend to lose attention because of the automatic maneuvering of the vehicle. However such attitude in driving is not safe. It can lead to accidents and danger either to the driver, pedestrians or properties. Thanks to technology and artificial intelligence, we now have assistants to remind drivers to stay focused. This AWare system is the key.
It monitors driver's attention at different levels and will eventually stop the vehicle if alert reaches the highest level. Once that is reached, the driver is forced to manually manage the vehicle.
Not only does AWare monitors driver's attention but also passenger and pedestrian's facial expression to understand the emotions inside and outside the vehicle. This poses safer condition not just for the driver but also people within and near the vehicle.
Talk about saving lives through artificial intelligence!
