Your headless server is doing just fine, thank you.
But what about that robot that won't even look at you?
You spent all that time making that robot out of Raspberry Pi and all it does is make pourover coffee and alert you when your 3d print job is done. The least it could do is look at you.
Maybe now is finally the time to give that bish some eyes of her own.
That's where Adafruit's Snake Bonnet Eyes come in. They drive 2 TFT LCD displays. ICYDK, TFT displays are liquid crystal, thin-film transistor displays which aren't exactly new but are pretty cheap .. which puts beautiful animated eyes in the reach of even the modest robot. These eyes really bring on the dazzle factor because they use high density 240x240 resolution and have IPS full angle viewing. The image quality of an OLED ... with the pricing of a TFT! Score!
Who wouldn't want a set of very pretty, albeit somewhat angry and judgemental eyes to look at them? You did what? Although, if she's mad at you, give her the option of not looking at you. You know what I'm talking about.
If you're a Raspberry Pi tinkerer, this should be easy to do. I'm not because I personally find raw hardware components to be, well, that's beside the point. But yea, if you're the type who likes building animatronics, then what are you waiting for.
