Earn Steem and Hunt! Find out How?
Do you know that if you find a cool product, such as an app, a game, a web service, and write about it and post it through SteemHunt platform, you will be rewarded? In this post, I want to tell you about really awesome and cool SteemHunt!
SteemHunt, created and designed by @tabris and @project7, respectively, is a system, built on top of the Steem blockchain, that rewards the 'hunters'. Hunters are those who find, discover, or hunt a cool, new product and post about it on SteemHunt.
I hope you know/ have heard about ProductHunt where people discover and share innovative and groundbreaking products (and write their review about them) which helps the company getting customers. On SteemHunt, that is inspired by ProductHunt, you will be rewarded for hunting new, cool products!
SteemHunt was started about 7-8 months ago and is constantly developing.
Your interaction with the platform gives you two type of rewards:
- Steem
- Hunt
When you discover an awesome, cool new product, called 'Hunt' in SteemHunt terminology, and introduce it to SteemHunt community, you will get an upvote from @steemhunt if your hunt is approved. The @steemhunt bot will upvote ALL the approved hunts AFTER the new day starts according to Korean Standard Time. Your post will be upvoted based on the rank you got. The following screenshot shows that after 1 hour, 4 minutes and 1 second, the bot will upvote all the hunts. In my experience, the post is normally upvoted within 2 to 3 hours after midnight according to KST

To write about your hunt, please follow these guidelines.
What is Hunt? Hunt are tokens and the currency of the SteemHunt platform. A total of 500 million Hunt tokens will be issued and 50% of them will be airdropped for Steemians. At first, Hunt tokens will be created as ERC-20 tokens and use for the airdrop. Later, the ERC-20-based Hunt tokens will be swapped for SMT-based Hunt tokens when smart media tokens are launched.
Everyday, maximum 300,000 tokens will be airdropped. This is a unique airdrop of its kind that has already started and tokens are being airdroped everyday.
You will get the airdrop if you:
- Delegate SteemPower to SteemHunt. What rewards will you get by delegating your SP to SteemHunt? Read here.
- Upvote Hunts
- Refer people (Under development)
- Post Hunts and reviewing other Hunts (Under development)
Please note that currently, you get reward for posting your Hunt in the form of an upvote from @steemhunt; however, later, you will also be rewarded with Hunt tokens.
Also note that you need to upvote only the hunts that have not yet been upvoted by @steemhunt upvote bot to get the reward. In other words, you have to upvote TODAY's hunts. Also, you need to do this from within the SteemHunt platform.

What is a bounty exactly?
A bounty is money sent to a post to be distributed to the users commenting on it. It provides a way to reward users directly and works in addition to the steem/sbd they receive from the blockchain. It works independently of SteemPower.
You create a bounty by sending any amount of sbd/steem to @steem-bounty together with a post-url in the memo.
How can I earn a bounty Users are then competing for the bounty by writing their answers to the post in comments that will achieve upvotes from the community and especially the bounty creator. The money of the bounty gets distributed to all top level comments of the post at the same time when the post is paid out (7 Days after it was written). How much everyone gets depends on the votes the comments received. The sender of the bounties votes are weighted higher so that she decideds where 80% of the bounty money goes and all other votes determine the rest.@steem-bounty does all of this for you automatically. You can use this service to automatically pay out a challenge, ask a hard question or simply to reward the people that interact with you.
