- Learning chemical compounds can be really confusing. The acronyms and symbols can feel quite abstract, and sometimes don't quite make sense at a glance, like how "fe" represents "iron" - that's not super easy to remember! Then you have to combine different compounds which have their own rules and then things become trickier.
- Enter wRite Formula. This app gamifies chemical compound making by turning the rules of chemistry into the rules of the game. It shows a set of random compounds, and you choose the ones that can bond with each other, and if you get it right multiple times you can get a sweet high score!
- Extra excitement is generated as each game session is timed, so you need to exercise your chemical compound reflexes.
- The app has a special focus on teaching as it quizzes you on compound naming and simplification, and if you're wrong, you might not get points but you do get feedback on why you're wrong. Maybe that feedback is even more valuable than points!
