Songsmith is a bit yet effective tool from Microsoft that helps generate musical accompaniment to match a singer’s voice.
The software which started as a research project by Microsoft Research team, soon became commercially available for anyone to enhance their singing skills by putting in the right music with it.
With Songsmith, one can just choose a music style and sing into the microphone of computer, followed by which, Songsmith will create a backing music. These recorded songs can then be exported to audio files.
One can make advanced adjustments to the music with controls like- adjusting tempo, changing genre and tweaking the overall mood of the song.
According to me, this software is ideal for music teachers, music students and budding singers who want to showcase their skills to the outside world but don't want to make heavy investments into studio recordings or arrange musical instruments.

I think it is very interesting software. I do not think I need to do lyric and composition work separately. If you sing your favorite song comfortably, you'll be done! I think this software is so innovative that I want to make songs!
