Gibson Environment, a real-world-based virtual environment for training and testing active perception agents/robots.

Testing and training models in real-world are not easy and it is almost impossible.
The expensive robots may break apart or damage the surroundings. The algorithms also not fast enough.
Using Gibson, an AI can explore its environment and take actions accordingly — all without breaking anything.

dataset of 572 full buildings 1447 floors 211 square kilometers, neural network-based view synthesis module and physics engine were also available in Gibson.
Gibson Environment is not artificially designed, it is built by virtualizing real-world with spaces which helps a smooth transition.
