Paint.NET is graphics and photo editing software application for personal computers on Windows operating system.
It includes a user-friendly interface with support for layers, almost limitless undo, special effects, and a wide range of useful and highly effective tools.
Initially planned as a free replacement for the Microsoft Paint software that comes with Windows, it has become a powerful yet easy image and photo editor tool. It is comparable and equivalent with all major photo editing tools such as Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or The Gimp.

Thanks for this hunt. Although the software Paint itself is a very old software, it has been maintained over the years and supports all new versions of windows operating systems including the latest .NET Framework 4.7.1 in January 2018.
As this software may not Opensource anymore, there is still a fully working Free Version of it available which makes this product still a "new" and "cool" product from my view.

This is a excellent program, I just used it today to make a meme. I love this program because it allows you to do just about anything. And for me it's even easier to use then GIMP. But if you want a powerful paint and photo editor, I would pick Paint.net over any of them. And lets not forget it's free!
Paint is really a useful tool. I used it to edit my photo to smaller resolution before uploading to steemit. Good sharing about its usage. A little upvote from your new follower here!
