LiveReload monitors changes in the file system. As soon as you save a file, it's pre-processed as needed, and the browser is refreshed. When you change a CSS file or an image, the browser is updated instantly without reloading the page. source

Livereload works with every file stored in it. If you update you project image or make a change to the CSS file, Livereload instantly update the file without reloading the browser.
Livereload works on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Mobile Safari and desktop (Mac and Windows) and browser extensions.
