[Steemhunt] Now you can get More HUNT Tokens from Social Share Airdrops

Last week, we performed an intensive task to clear up the abusers who run a large number of alt accounts to abuse the airdrop pool for social sharers. We’ve blacklisted them permanently, and revoked all of their reserved HUNT tokens. Also, we have applied hunter level-based weights on the effective counts from the traffic leads by social sharers to value the user’s hunter level, as well as minimising the impact from abusers.

Now we’ve noticed that the hunters who genuinely spread hunting posts via social media are getting a larger number of tokens compared to other airdrop categories because of the reduced abuser’s portion. So now it is the best time for you to get more HUNT tokens by participating in the social share airdrops!

How to Participate and Get Rewards

1. We distribute 90,000 tokens per day, which along with what the sponsors recieve is the largest portion available.
2. You can click the SHARE button on the hunting post, and share to any other social platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
3. HUNT tokens will be assigned based on the share of the total daily traffic generated from all the shared posts via the social channels.
4. To calculate your portion for the reward, your shared count will turn into effective count. The two main factors to calculate the `effective count’ are the date you shared the hunting post and your hunter level.
5. The first date you’ve shared the post will have the highest effective count, and will keep decreasing day by day.
6. Hunters will gain more tokens from the social share airdrops based on their hunter level by applying the hunter level-based weights on the effective counts.

Transparency

We will share the daily stats for the social sharers including their shared count, effective count, and the HUNT token rewards via the #social-share-bounty channel in our Discord group. We think that this stat can help hunters to understand how the social share airdrop works, and get motivated to spread the awesome hunt posts outside the Steem community.

Also, we will constantly monitor any possible types of abusing attempts, add them to our blacklist, and revoke their claimed HUNT tokens to protect the value of other genuine token holders.

Goal of the Social Share Airdrop

Steemhunt is not a “writing/blogging” interface. It is a ranking curation community driven by early-adopters. This means that not all users need to be hunters who create content. We need to invite more visitors who are interested in seeing those cool apps or gadgets everyday.

So, we have three main goals for this social share airdrop as below:

1. Increase the traffic from social media channels to Steemhunt by spreading cool hunting posts.
2. Catch the attention of makers/companies, so that they can participate in Reviewhunt later on.
3. Attract some of the new visitors to become hunters, and potential Steem users for other dApps.

Tips to Improve your Effective Counts

1. Share the the hunting post REGULARLY because the highest weight is applied on the day when you make the share.
2. Find the maker’s social accounts, and TAG them when you share the post so that the makers can re-share your post.
3. Increase your hunter level so that you can have higher weights on your effective count.
