Thanks for your hunt. I’ve reviewed it but before I approve it, can you please change the product link to point at the Gotenna product page. There’s little usability in a hunt for explorers if you send them to an old page and they have to click once more.

Thie sure looks promising and is defenitely a nice gadget to have in case you run in a area with bad connections but to be honest I‘m not sure about the usability of this one if you are planing to go off the grid since they „only“ have a range of 4.8 km without a mesh nearby and this is just not enough. For people that like to go off the grid but feel they need an emergancy tool there is just nothing better avaliable at the moment than a satellite phone in my opinion.

This one of those niche products that is too simple to not have thought about it ourself, but we didn't, or did but didn't create one. The modern version of the walky talky. I'm wondering how bluetooth works through a pack of ice and snow. If that works, then it is a super duper product and therefore hunt! :)
GoTenna is a great Smart-Mesh device for direct peer-to-peer communication without the need of any centralized service providers. You can use it with your friends while spending time outdoors or even if you just travel and want to stay in touch with other friends.
I really like the idea of decentralized and independent communication network it ensures more personal freedom and independence than regular mobile providers.

I am sure many of us already experienced that situation that we cant use our mobiles but actually i experience that almost every day.
Lets dont forget about the situation after natural disasters. Once i was waiting 2 weeks because we was in a small island and we experienced a super typhoon. After 2 weeks i went to the corner of the island and i was makeing call standing on the rocks beside rhe sea. This product will be very usefull in these kind of situation i bet.

It has a nice design, a radio function, and a Bluetooth function that connects with the phone, which I think is a must for people who like to climb. I think it would be more useful if you add the flash function that you can use for emergency use.

Great find. This is wonderful. I would love to see it in action. Living in a rural area this could be very handy when Internet and/or cell service is not working. And as some of said this could be critical in natural disasters.
