I stumbled upon with a useful little CLI tool today.

If you're a developer who uses a terminal more than a browser, this tool will be perfect for you 😀

Install:

npm install -g coinmon

Check top 10 coin prices:

coinmon

Check custom coin lists:

coinmon -f STEEM,SBD

You can also make a portfolio file in JSON format to track your investment performance:

coinmon -p portfolio.json

I like it shows 1H, 24H, 7D changes in a single table.

Hii @tabris, awesome to know about "Coinmon" which is amazing tool due to which we easily check the detail of crypto prices from CLI. it has lot other handy features and more upcoming features will be included soon.

In order to use coinmon, make sure that you have Node version 6.0.0 or higher.

Honestly, i dont quite understand about this hunt, but for crypto maniac this will be useful.

It's simple to run coinmon on your local computer.

I mean, we can check the price as real time.

I have a lot of question [but maybe it will look st00p1d] since i dont understand enough.

First, the data is from coinmarketcap.com right?, can we change it to other server? - because yes, it's not secret that coinmarketcap used for spreading FUD.
Second, can we add the alert when the price hit some level?, it will be awesome if we can get real-time notification when the whales start to buy again.

Back to basic, CLI based information :) I'm not a developer, but still wonder if a developer will not use a browser for this type of information since a developer usually has multiple screens. IN any way, a cool little tool providing useful information.

Don't know much about coding but it looks like a very good tool to monitor prices in a customizable format. Crypto miner coders can have a field day with it

This is perfect for developers who are involved in the crypto world. They are used to and comfortable with the terminal, and Coinmon gives them a new sense of comfort to still be able to see crypto developments without having to leave their terminal.

@tabris, I am not an Developer but for sure this is something new to know and it's really important to know those tools which are related to the Cryptocurrencies because every tool can be useful at some point of time.
