Dear @Dtube #85 // 13 lines already! — thank you, people are adding lines, some power tips for recording your steemhunt video.

So we have 27 (twenty-seven) lines left to fill and we already have 13 overnight added to the spreadsheet, that’s awesome -- I really don’t think I’ve ever had that much in day one of any of the other two videos so we are on track to get all those lines with names in the next few weeks if we keep on this track, thank you everyone for taking part.

Today I want to spend a little time in the vlog to give you some tips to recording your little 16:9 (sideways) line of text (to go into the bigger video clip) I’m hoping these tips will help you get a good shot with great audio quality and so that it fits in with the rest of the other clips, I can only do so much with the source video so the better that is the more I have to work with, let’s go through some tips then.

• record at high quality, hd, 720p or 1080p ideally on your camera.
• record sideways, not vertical, it’s often called 16:9 format
• give yourself some space at the start and at the end
• try and record with energy, positivity and be happy
• don’t walk around too much with the camera (fixed might be better)
• have an interesting background
• make sure you are in focus on the camera - hold to lock focus on you.
• consider the flow of the lines before and after you.
• remember as clear as possible (even if not in English!)
• feel free to have little steemhunt made print outs or cards
• your line recording should be enjoyable and fun, don’t stress
• I realise that some people are shy, remember you on screen short time
• there is an amazing feeling you get when you are part of something global
• you’ll be uploading to either youtube (unlisted) and send me the url
• OR you’ll use wetransfer.com and I’ll give you an email addy to send too
• also you could upload the video to streamable.com as well, i can download.
• also name your file like this (29@calprut as example) so line number and steemit name

You might wanna check out the other two videos I did before to see how other people recorded their videos, that’s a good way of thinking of a place you can record your video.

I’ll be putting out some examples of video before the end of the week, I might even try to add a little video clip here on the end of the post of the line I’ll record, I realise that not everyone has great equipment and that’s fine, we work with what we have ok? — all clips are welcome, I’ll help you where I can to make video… .
