We, developers, would really love that our work will be easier and better. Since we were using this framework today, I would really glad to share it with you guys!

CodeIgniter 3.0 is an open source powerful PHP framework with a very small footprint which is built for developers to make their lives easier and better!

CodeIgniter offers a well-structured and well-explained documentation which lets you know the usage of every syntax it has. It is basically a model, view, controller algorithm but it does not forces you to do so. You can still make it your own way of implementation!

It also has a strong security to avoid SQL injection of your codes and your site can fully stand alone without requiring any security supports.

It is downloadable with a 2MB file size including the user guide which gives you an overview of how it works!

So what are you waiting for? You can try it now!! :)

My programming skill if rated from 1 to 10 is just playing at 5 or 6.

I have tried working with CodeIgniter previously and one thing that I like is that its very easy to set up, maybe because the framework is not as huge as the other frameworks like Laravel.

The downside I must say is the lack of development and it got left behind.

Yes, I really do agree about the setup. And I also hate their development process, each release is so delayed. But learning codeigniter is a step 1 process for learning Laravel! ;-)

pros:

  • The pages are processed faster, the CodeIgniter core is quite light.

  • Ease of editing the code already created.

  • Separation of the logic and architecture of the web, the MVC.

  • Any server that supports PHP + MySQL serves for CodeIgniter.

Cons:

  • ORM only through third parties.

  • It does not have a template engine.

  • Namespaces do not exist.

Pros:

  • Open Source (Hooray!)
  • Simple user interface
  • Well-structured documentation
  • Strong security

Cons:

  • None that I can think of! I just love this

Awesome hunt! Thanks for the information!

Have a nice day :)

Pros:

  • Has a smaller footprint
  • Easy set up options
  • Easy to Extend and Customize

Cons:

  • Does not emphasize on code maintainability
  • Lacks Exhaustive Libraries.

Pros:

  • It really is very comfortable and easy to use.

  • You can add external libraries easily, simply and easily.

Cons:

  • Management of more complicated and less powerful templates.
