Curb is an energy monitoring system that installs on a circuit box and gives you date on how much energy is used throughout your house.
Install directly into your breaker panel, and with the app, you can monitor how much power is being used or if any electrical is accidentally left on. You can also use the app to connect to your smart home devices and remotely control them from your smartphone.
Curb helps you to:
- Make smarter decisions about your energy use.
- Recognize abnormal patterns of energy use, pointing to potential problems of various appliances.
- Estimate your energy bill, allowing you to see the impact of your energy use on your wallet in real time.

This looks like an excellent way to monitor and control your households electricity use. You would be able to see how much different appliances use, and the effects of altering your usage to cut costs. For example, you could see the difference between running the air-conditioning at 20C or 24C on a hot day, and know how much harder the A/C has to work to maintain cooler temperatures. There are many other ways this could benefit a household and lead to smarter decisions to reduce electricity use. Very nice Hunt.
I agreed. Here in Malaysia, we have something similar like this but instead install it directly into the breaker panel, we plug it directly to the socket and you can’t see much difference in terms of the utility bills. Curb is definitely an alternative to control and monitor your electrical usage.

Interesting! We always have problem to keep track and monitor how much electricity we are using everyday. Well of course, we can always refer back and check our electricity bills if we wanted to, but the bills only shows the quantity that we have used monthly. Its good to have this device too to monitor the influx of electricity into your house that might harm your household's electrical items.
