A big step forward with Steemia.io (DE/EN)

Die Steem Blockchain hat in den letzten Monaten große Fortschritte gemacht. Die Smart Media Tokens haben großen Andrang gefunden. Sei es nun d.tube, d.live, steepshot und nun neuerlich auch steemia.io.

Es gab bis jetzt zwei Gründe, warum sich Freunde und Kollegen nicht auf Steemit anmelden wollten. Zum einen hatten sie Angst davor, dass sie den Inhalt nie wieder löschen können und er auf ewig auf der Blockchain gespeichert ist. Zum anderen gab es keine wirklich gut funktionierende App für das Smartphone. Es ist unglaublich, wie viele Menschen heute nur mehr mit dem Smartphone im Internet surfen und den Laptop oder PC vernachlässigen. Es gab bis jetzt die eSteem App, die aber meiner Ansicht nach nicht gut entwickelt war. Oft funktionierte sie nicht oder hängte.

Vor kurzem wurde mir aber eine neue App zu Ohren getragen, die viel besser funktionieren soll. Ihr Name ist Steemia.io. Jeder Android-Besitzer wird jetzt erfreut sein, denn die App gibt es bereits auf dem Google Play Store. Leider dauert es noch ein bisschen, bis man die App auch auf IOS austesten kann. Ich habe für euch die App ausgetestet und das sind meine Erfahrungen damit.

Was ist Steemia.io?

Steemia ist eine Social Network App, die auf der Steem Blockchain läuft. Diese App wird den Usern eine bereicherte Benutzererfahrung und Funktionen bieten, die häufig in anderen Sozialen Medien anzutreffen sind. Ziel dieses Projektes ist es, der Community eine mobile App zur Verfügung zu stellen, mit der sie ihre täglichen Aktivitäten in der Blockchain durchführen können. ¹

Die Downloadgröße hält sich in Grenzen und belegt nicht unnötig viel Speicherplatz. Der Login-Vorgang erfolgt, was mir persönlich sehr gut gefällt, über das schon bekannte SteemConnect. Für eine Walletüberweisung benötigt man wie überall auch den Private-Key, der Account ist also geschützt.

Wird auf den Tab Settings geklickt, so findet man eine echt sehr coole Einstellung vor. Hier wird die Votingpower, die Sprache und das Thema eingestellt. Als einzige Sprache gibt es in der App zurzeit nur Englisch, was aber nicht unbedingt stört. Ein nettes Feature ist, dass man zwischen einem hellen Theme und einem dunklen Theme für die Nacht wählen kann.

In der Wallet selbst findet man wie gewohnt Steem und SBD vor. Es gibt jeweils einen Buy/Sell und Transfer Button. Natürlich ist es auch möglich, seine Rewards über die App einzusammeln. Es fühlt sich an, als wäre die App mehr an busy.org orientiert, als wie an Steemit. Dies zeigt sich dadurch, dass die Benachrichtigungen einwandfrei funktionieren und die Reihenfolge wie bei busy.org eingehalten wird. Bei seinem eigenen Profil soll es dann auch eine Sparte geben, wo man seine eigenen Aktivitäten auf der Steem Blockchain anzeigen lassen kann, ähnlich wie bei busy.org.

Ein sehr nettes Feature sind auch die Bookmarks, also die **Lesezeichen**. Diese Funktion ist uns auch bereits aus busy.org bekannt, bei der man ganz einfach Beiträge **für später speichern** kann. Es muss somit nicht mehr mühsam nach einem Beitrag in der Blockchain gesucht werden, man kann ihn jetzt ganz einfach speichern.

Steemia.io finanziert sich, indem sie von jedem auf der Plattform veröffentlichten Post 15% einbehält. Damit werden nach eigenen Angaben Entwickler- und Serverkosten gedeckt. Um die Gewinneinbußen zu kompensieren, erhält man allerdings auf jedem mit der App veröffentlichten Artikel einen Upvote von Steemia.io.

Steemia.io macht einen tollen Eindruck. Die App ist ähnlich aufgebaut wie die eSteem App, macht allerdings einen wesentlich schnelleren und schlankeren Eindruck. Für mich war es schon immer sehr wichtig, dass Apps flüssig handhaben zu sind und die Ladezeiten minimiert werden. Genau das erfüllt Steemia mit einer sehr guten Aufbereitung der Steem-Blockchain.

On the one hand, they were afraid that they would never be able to remove the content and that it would be stored on the blockchain forever. On the other hand, there was no good app for the smartphone. It is unbelievable how many people today just surf the Internet with their smartphones and neglect their laptops or PCs. There has been the eSteem app so far, but in my opinion it was not well developed. Often it did not work or lag.

Recently, however, I heard about a new app that should work much better. It's name is Steemia.io. Every Android user will now be happy, because the app is already available on the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, it still takes a while until you can test the app on IOS. I tested the app for you and these are my experiences with it.

What is Steemia.io?

Steemia is a social network app running over the Steem Blockchain. This app will provide the users an enriched user experience plus features commonly encountered in a casually used social media. The goal of this project is to give the community a mobile app where they can do their daily activity in the blockchain. ¹

The download size does not take up unnecessary storage space. The login process is done via the already known **SteemConnect**, which I personally like very much. For a wallet transfer you need the private key as everywhere else, so your account is protected.

If you click on the tab Settings, you will find a really cool feature. Here you can set the voting power, the language and the theme. The only language currently available in the app is English. A nice feature is that you can choose between a bright theme and a dark theme for the night.

In the Wallet itself you will find Steem and SBD as usual. There is a buy/sell and transfer button. Of course it is also possible to collect your rewards via the app. It feels like the app is more busy.org oriented than Steemit oriented. This is shown by the fact that the notifications work perfectly and the order as at busy.org is kept. There should also be a section where you can display your own activities on the Steem Blockchain, similar to busy.org, in the near future.

A very nice feature are also the bookmarks. We already know this function from busy.org, where you can easily save posts for a later read. It is no longer necessary to search for a post in the blockchain, it can now be easily saved.

Steemia.io finances itself by retaining 15% of every article published on the platform. According to the own statement developer and server costs are covered with it. In order to compensate for the loss of profits, you will receive an upvote from Steemia.io on every article published with the app.

Steemia.io makes a great impression. The app has a similar structure to the eSteem app, but makes a much faster and leaner impression. It has always been very important to me that apps are fluent and loading times are minimized. This is exactly what Steemia does with a very good processing of the Steem blockchain.
