Steemit Webcomics Funny Webcomics Contest Week #4 Winners and Announcement
Hello hello everyone! OK so this is a special post, different than the rest. To make it short, I feel like I need to take an indefinite break from hosting this contests. Let me announce first the winners of two weeks ago, and then after that I'll explain a little on why I came to this conclusion.

Ok so as mentioned earlier, I want to stop this contest for a while basically because I'm still struggling with my personal well being (mental health issues pretty much). I've got a lot to work on myself, and just running the contest is not helping much. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate reading your comics and rewarding you as much as I can, it's just that I feel like I need to invest some time in doing some of the things I used to love, like going out to eat, hanging out with friends, maybe hiking with my dog, etc.
It's been an amazing experience to host this contest for the past year. It really gave me a lot of positivism, as well as allowed me to meet great artists :).
I hope all of you can understand the situation... I also hope this is not an excuse for you to stop making comics. I know a lot of you still love making comics, and I would encourage you to keep drawing, keep improving yourselves, try new things, different art styles, etc.
On my end, I will try to draw more often as well... It does feel very difficult to be motivated to do it, but do know that I'm trying my best :).
I wish you all a great 2019, filled with lots of success!! I'll still be around if you want to grab a chat with me or anything :)

Thank you for doing this for so long. You've done a great job and shown us some wonderful comics. I hope you can figure out how to best be good to yourself, and that you can find a way to balance that with making more cool stuff. (And eventually showing it to us.)

thanks man, you've also done amazing stuff in here :D. I will for sure keep everyone posted on my creative ventures. Having the mind busy with the things you love is what makes you happy :), so that's what I'll try to do
Thanks @cobmaximus for your hard work. I hope you will find the balance in your life sooner rather than later and continue to create. This is how I personally avoid mental problems.
In the meantime as we are waiting for Steemit-Webcomics contest to come back , I'd like to encourage everyone to participate in #artstorm and other contests that @deemarshall so passionately organizes and our #pinkyandspiky contest too.
What I have found out over my year-long experience on Steem is that you have to belong to some kind of community here in order to succeed and participating and supporting contests works very well.

Hey Cob it was a delight just browsing through the entries I may not have joined before but I had learned some tips on creating comics to better my skill. I'm just lurking but I sure do read and appreciate all content related to steemit-webcomics. That was my favorite hashtag so sad to see you take a break but I am certain that is for your own good. hi @london65, yeah we haven't met before and thank you so much for being that comprehensive about the situation :). I'm very happy that #steemit-webcomics is one of your favorite tags. It has been a long way for this tag to become great, and it's not only me but a lot of great comic artists in the platform, I'm bet you still will find a bunch of great content.
Dear friend, thank you so much for providing such a wonderful contest this year. I had never ever drawn a comic before until I joined this contest about a year ago, I only used to draw realism. So I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried my hand at it, and it has been so much fun, and I have really gotten into drawing the funny faces on characters, learning things here about how to make a comic, anyways it’s been a blast. I’ll miss this contest friend, and I’ll pray for you everyday, may God bless you❣️
