The hidden Sphinx of the Sphinx

Two ancient Egyptian antiquities may refer to a "hidden ladder" under the Sphinx, according to experts.

For years, the statue has been surrounded by a symbol and icon in Giza near Cairo. Historians argue about who built it, when the statue was built, and even "where there are secret passages beneath it," according to the British daily The Daily Star.

The historian, expert on ancient civilizations, Matt Sibson believes that the "two archaeological pieces" may be crucial in determining what is under the Sphinx.

The historian founded a channel on YouTube that deals with ancient engineers and provides alternative explanations for most of the ancient archaeological sites.

In one of his latest recordings, Matt says that at the time of the Pharaohs or the ancient Egyptians, there were three stone slabs in front of the Sphinx when it was first built.

The first tablet is the Palette of Dreams, developed by Pharaoh Thutmosis between 1479 and 1425 BC, and remained in situ.

As for the second and third tablets, they were placed by Ramses II 200 years after the first plank was constructed.
Matt noted that the second and third plates were moved to the Louvre Museum in Paris in the 19th century, and since then they have rarely been mentioned.

The historian drew a picture of the two plates in Howard Weiss's book on excavations at the Giza pyramids in 1837.

In an interview with Britain's Daily Star, Matt revealed what appeared in the picture on one of the panels.

"There is the Sphinx on the top of the plateau, and next to him Ramses II offers sacrificial offerings," said the expert. "The Sphinx sits on a ladder, and in the dream board there is an entrance under the Sphinx."

He added that the diggers found an entrance under the statue of the Sphinx, which may lead to a gap under it.

But he said Howard's picture revealed only one plate.

He asked what was said in the other panel, pointing out that it must be analyzed and returned to life, because it may shed light on the entrance.

Matt seems convinced that there is more to the eye than to the Sphinx and beneath it.

"I think there is something under the statue, there are a lot of tunnels in the Giza plateau," he said.
