So what will you give them after selecting the best comment on your post.
This is also a comment :)

I'm not sure I understand your question. I pick a random comment on my posts to receive a free upvote.

You're today's comment winner!! 😎🥂

Each day I pick a random comment on my post to upvote and today was your lucky day 🙌🏻

Thank you very very much.

I think when we hit 2 million accounts Steem should be at least $6 if not $10 or higher.
If I were you I would lower your lighting a tiny bit. Your sound is ok but I do think the iphone mic was better. I hear a slight echo now.

Great post, Brandon.

I really think that minnows need to enjoy better VP. The guaranteed votepower could only go to those accounts in good standing; that would control the spammers. Also there are too many minnows swimming about voting down their VP so it is valueless. I would not have that as an option. When your upvote value reaches less the 1 cent, you get a message saying you may not upvote again until it recharges. It will recharge in X amount of hours:)

Have a great weekend:)

Thanks @prydefoltz, I agree completely. To be able to earn curation rewards and have a vote that's worth something is very important for retention. I suppose if Steem skyrocketed it wouldn't be an issue. But until that happens it really is.

I also like your idea of giving some sort of notification about vote values and when to "hold off" on using your votes. Also, I would like to see some improvement as to how bandwidth is used. The other day I ran out of bandwidth on one of my account and I couldn't even power up my Steem to get more. That makes no sense lol. That's on a level of things I don't understand and may be that way for a reason. I'm sure it is actually. But perhaps it could be improved. I just waited a little while and eventually could continue with my transactions.

Anyways, I hope you have an awesome weekend. Appreciate your support as always!

To give you an example, Facebook reported 1.45 billion active daily users (user accounts much higher) for their first quarter earnings. For them and their business model which works off of ads, they got almost $13 billion on sales which translated to almost $5 billion in profits. This is only 3 months! That is how important users are for social networks! Now imagine how us users can monetize this through the STEEM blockchain and ecosystem!

Thanks for the info @newageinv. I wasn't sure exactly how many FB users there were but that it was much higher than where we're at. But you're absolutely right; their user base is everything to them (as it should be for us). Without end users to display ads to, FB would be worthless. And without other users to connect with on Steemit, it too would be worthless.

I'm really glad that we don't have traditional advertising here on Steemit. But I do like the idea of content promotion (and perhaps even product placement) which is a much more digestible form of advertising. I could really get behind more of that being added to Steemit, which would ultimately bring in more corporate dollars to the platform, and put more money in our pockets as investors. 💵😀

Yeah, Facebook is making billions of dollars each year off of us people and it is good when we make some money at least on Steemit and we are our own ads to each other and Facebook is like thousands of times bigger than Steemit as Steemit has only about a million accounts but Steemit does have a concentration of great people here at least which is a potential towards many great things, long-term speaking.

This post has received a 3.92 % upvote from @boomerang.

@boomerang might want to update your info on SteemBotTracker as it states that you don't leave a comment. Just a heads up. Thanks!

Hey Brandon! Digging your YouTube channel man. I have been on Steemit for a couple months now, and still feel like a beginner. I love the suggestion of doing a live stream or just a video about some things to do as a beginner. (how to grow your steemit following, how to use your wallet, different components of the wallet, how to participate in the different contests on steemit, etc.) I know people have already posted about this kind of stuff, but would be cool to hear your take on it. Yes it is getting hot here in Arizona! lol I live over in the East Valley. I know you have a few of these kinds of videos already, but kind of an all encompassing one, would be cool. :) But I will definitely go back an watch those videos that you have on YouTube.

i watched your video online and i decided to follow you

Hi Brandon! The idea to do a weekly comment catch-up is a really good idea and I will keep this is mind if in the future I end up with more comments during the week than what I can address in written form.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I came across your work through YouTube while I was in the process of opening a Steemit account. Your videos really helped me to ease my way into the platform, so thank you for that.

I wanted to ask you if you could talk about the process that you went through when you developed the MinnowFund project. How long did it take? Are there phases that you go through when contemplating a new endeavor? The reason for these questions is that I would also like to develop an initiative to help minnows but I don't know how to program or build websites. I'm just the guy with the idea! But seeing that you have experience with this kind of thing, and it seems that you are handling the MinnowFund on your own, I thought who better than you to ask for some insights and suggestions.

Are you ever concerned that maybe one Saturday morning you wake up and find you have 200 applications to process? Do you plan in the future to perhaps automate the steps? What's the best way to present new ideas or services to the Steemit community? Thank you for the good work you do!

Either you find people to build websites for you or you do it yourself like me. In order to build websites, start out small, and master something simple. You can try Wordpress for example. You can Google and find code and help for design and for many things. You can create posts on Steemit and on different websites with ideas, questions, comments, concerns, for the projects. In doing so, you may find more people who are trying to do the same things you are doing. It does not hurt to copy and paste your articles, your questions, your posts, to different social networks, to online forums, different websites, blockchains, and anywhere and everywhere to get it out there. And be patient because it can take years for more people to find you, but you can keep going and keep trying. Years ago, I was trying to design a website that would have been like Steemit. So, I know it can be tough.

Thank you for the suggestions @joeyarnoldvn! Yes it can sometimes be tough getting these this going. The most important thing that I take away from your message is to be patient!

I'm thinking of doing video replies to my comments like you. Good work with the video and everything you do for minnows.
