Every human needs a creative outlet. For some people that's landscaping. For some it's flower arranging. Everyone's a writer. Writing is merely thinking on paper. It helps you work out your thoughts. It's incredible how you can turn something around and around in your mind but then once you get it out on paper - click! Light bulb! You can explore topics and learn as you write, you can share your struggles or your hopes, you can try your hand at writing fiction... Writing regularly helps you to perfect your craft. You'll be surprised how good you get in a short amount of time. Click that pencil button every day and see what come out.
It's an investment
If you're going to write, you might as well post it on Steemit! I know your posts look like they're only worth pennies, but you might as well get paid something, and what if you were to add three zeros to your numbers?
