Basically, you connect through the SteemConnect gateway to be able to interact between the website and the Steem blockchain.

You can use SteemConnect to use the Steem blockchain without sharing your precious private keys.

Logging on Steemhunt with SteemConnect

When you are logged with your posting privilege on Steemit and access the website of Steemhunt. You have the option to log immediately on Steemhunt with SteemConnect.

The right access ask by the DAPP are the following:

1. Vote
2. Comment
3. Delete comment
4. Comment option
5. Jason

I am always scared when an application asks for too many rights, you need to trust the DAPP in the first place!

I logged in with my active key through SteemConnect, and I suggest to never take your owner key, just to prevent any hack. Following the same thought, I suggest not to let too much liquidity on your account.

If something happens, you can always reset the active and posting key with the owner one. It is important to always take cautious steps before trying something with an account that holds value.
