Let's not be that simple.
BitCoin (BTC)
BitCoin will still be around in 5 years. I know that some people believe that it will lose its value due to the restrictions and cost. But, I believe BitCoin will still be around, because of the fact that it was first and it is unlimited. Also, even thought we hit the 17 million BitCoin milestone, we still have 4 million to go. It is estimated that the last BitCoin will be mined in 2140. Will BitCoin be the dominate coin in market share? Maybe. We saw back in December how quickly the price will rise and I have seen estimates that BitCoin will be from $25,000, $40,000 to $100,000 by the end of 2018. Of course, by the end of 2020, it is expected to be over $1,000,000
Stellar Lumens (XLM)
I bought and decided HODL Stellar Lumens because they were working with IBM.
And it seems like they keep making partnerships to cement their place in the crypto-currency blockchain world. These announcements are much better than other coins who only have a wishful roadmap to point towards.
Cardano (ADA)
Another coin that I heard good things about and has a very aggressive roadmap. They have also announced a couple of partnerships in the mobile arena. One with [mobile payments](Cardano Scores Partnership With Metaps Plus Mobile Payment Platform) and the other with SIRIN Labs, which is working on a "cold storage" as part of a mobile OS/All-in-One PC and mobile phone. If you look up Stellar and its partnerships, you will see it has made deals with mobile payment partners around the world.
The key to longentivity in the cryptocurrency blockchain world is functionality. If Stellar network is your quick, easy and cheap way to send and receive funds and it is easy to adopt, then it will be a power player.
DigiByte (DGB)
Well... John says BitCoin is going to $1 million and DigiByte will do even better. Well, I can't afford a lot of BitCoin, but I can get into DigiByte when it is cheap.
