SteemMonsters Sunday Catch

Another day of regular pickings on my quest, nothing new just more of the same so nothing to say there. Let's see what I get at the end of the season, I would like to get that new mechanical Goblin, looks like a cool card.

The Crypto world is down right now, practically all coins are not doing to good right now, and of course Steem is following the trend, so we have a really low price and probably going lower.

Apart from that we have the problem of Steemit powering down some of its accounts which of course isn't well seen by most users. Nobody really knows why this is happening a lot of theories though for example, a supposed hard fork that would practically steal the SP in these accounts (I wonder if that is possible), or the people behind Steemit need to cash out before Steem just completely collapses, they want to cash out because they need the money for a new trading exchange, etc.

Now what I find difficult to understand is why they would try to monetize just when Steem is at a real low price, and besides they have to sell this Steem, that means someone would have to buy it, so I think fears that this would drive the price down are unfounded.

I don't think these guys are escaping Steem or Steemit, they must be doing this for some reason that in their eyes is sensible, their mistake is doing it without prior notice, and having everyone wonder what is happening and on a site where you know everyone is going to find out you are powering down.
