Life in the RC jail
Life is beautiful but this RC jail is not. 5 or 6 comments a day takes the RC another full day to generate enough resource for another 5 to 6 comments, its like living in a serious jail kind of situation where you are limited to a time frame for doing what you would want to do and then wait for another day or so for the same time to do a little more of what you like and then get stuck in your jail room again for another day :D I am not sure how this new setup is helping any new or small account on which the setup used to rely to generate more and more traffic around but a shame newbies are being totally ignored now as the platform has been made very limited for mid range accounts let alone to newbies.
Enough of the crying and mourning over something we can't really do anything about :D but collectively as a whole. Serious question here, how long will it take for an account to get out of the RC jail if its allowed only 6 comments a day on average? :D What shocked me yesterday was that you can not even power up with the steem you earn if you are low on RC. They should just simply consider blocking small users and live with whatever big whales they have generated by now. Terrible all the situation is, that is the word i can least think about to explain how I feel.
About a month ago, we used to think we have invested our time in a platform which will never let us down and will save our time from things like facebook or other similar platforms which were just a wastage of time. But, to be honest things are not looking that good here anymore. It has been made pretty difficult for the users and the things are not really been said to improve.
Still hopeful with the fact that the ones controlling the platform would think of all the users a a whole and would pay attention to the required and much needed amendments to make Steemit a user friendly platform like it once used to be. I'm also talking to some people who may be able to help. And I still don't understand what is going on with the delegations, I don't want to send more if it's not adding together the amounts.

Yeah that's true, if its taking out from your account but not adding together in the receiver's account then its a wastage of recourse.
hananali! yeah I think they will eventually make some changes but who knows how long that will be. But there are several groups helping smaller accounts like mentioned in that post that I gave you.

well howdy there simplymike! well I delegated some sp to him but it wasn't enough so I sent some more but the amount that he showed in his account didn't add up to how much I had sent, it just showed the second amount.
I sent 35sp, then I sent another 65 so the total should have been 100 but it just showed 65. I don't really understand how that works or what I was doing wrong so I didn't want to keep sending without knowing how to do it. lol.

Yes, I know what went wrong. I made the same mistake like a hundred times :0)
Multiple delegations to the same person don't add up. When you send a second delegation to someone, it overwrites the first one. So if you wanted to bring his SP up to 100, you should have sent 100SP the second time.
I can see you've delegated 50SP to him now. So you've probably sent another delegation of 50SP.
The easiest way to avoid these mistakes is by using steemworld.org to manage your delegations. In the left menu, there's a 'delegations' button. If you click it, you can select 'outgoing' and you can simply use the 'edit' button to set the amount of SP you want to delegate.
howdy again simplymike! what happened to the earlier delegations that I sent, did they just disappear? thanks so much for your help! I will use steemworld from now on.
As you can see on Steemworld, by clicking 'Expiring' under the delegations tab, the 15SP (the difference between that 65 and the current 50) is on its way back to you.
Before, when you first delegated 35 and then 65, only 30SP was sent from your account, and not the entire 65sp

I made the same mistake so many times I lost count, lol. Are you planning to keep the delegation of 50sp in place? (Asking because of the delegation contest I'm running. I promised to bring the SP of the winners up to 100sp - which wasn't really a smart idea because I didn't take into consideration they might have long- term or short-term delegations already. If you keep it in place and @hananali is among the winners, and there is a fair chance he will, it saves me 50sp, which I can use to help out someone else, maybe.
