Why Do Conch Animals Always Bring Houses on Their Backs?

in #steemit5 years ago

Good morning, everyone is steemit!

How are you today?
Hopefully we are still in good condition!

Today I will share photos and explain a little about this snail animal.

This snail animal lives by using a shell. The shell material is the same as the oyster shells and shellfish in general. Inside the shell there are lungs, heart and all other important organs. If the conch shell is cracked, then it can connect and repair itself. And if only the shell breaks apart then the snail can't fix it again and over time this snail animal will die.

Shells are very important for the survival of snails to protect themselves. Because inside the shell there is liquid mucus so that its organs are always protected from hot and dry temperatures. If the mucus is reduced and feels dry, the snail enters its shell and closes its shell hole with a thin membrane so that the inside of the shell is kept up with moisture. If not, this snail will die because it cannot survive with hot and dry temperatures.

This snail animal is actually a mollusk, it is not an insect type. The spiral shape of an adult conch shell with a young conch shell is different. If the snail is still young, it only has one to one half spiral (1-1½ spiral). Whereas adults will have three to four (3-4) spirals.

When this snail moves to walk, the animal always leaves marks with a shape like a sparkling liquid line. This liquid comes out of his leg by attaching it. This liquid can be attached to other objects, not even glass. If this liquid dries it will appear silvery white and very glittering.

Thanks You
