Fast-Reply - A tool to easily view unanswered comments and reply within seconds

Yesterday, I finally give in to this steemhunt thing that's been making a buzz for almost a week now. Unfortunately my hunt was delisted due to the product being limited only to Japan (or that's what I got from @dayleeo the mod that reviewed my hunt). Pretty much my mistake for not checking the availability of the prodcut so all is well.

What caught my attention though was her second reply. It appears it was sent through a tool called Fast-Reply:

What is Fast-Reply?

Fast-Reply is a tool specially designed for Community Leaders, Influencers, and all the others Steemians with an every day huge amount of comments to reply.

Source

Fast-Reply was created by @roxane and @oroger, with the aim to help Steemians who receives a huge number of reply comments on a daily basis. These steemians are usually community leaders/influencers who usually get 50-100+ comments on each of their every post. Or moderators/reviewers who needs to make comments on every single post they have looked to.

Tracking every single reply is time consuming added with the blockchain delay between actions, it sure is tedious for them. Their page also starts to load slowly after it gets 200+ comments as what I've seen from blog posts from @dimimp and @surpassinggoogle.

So, How to use?

Since the project is still on its early stages, a live demo of the tool is what's only available. The live demo is available for use at:

http://fast-reply.surge.sh/

Keep in mind that the project is still on its beta stage and is under active development. But the core-functions and main features are already available for use such as Finding unanswered comments and ability to vote and comment back in one click.

The interface looks like an email inbox. It displays unanswered comments made directly on your blog post or a comment you have made. By going through every unanswered comments, you'll notice how smooth and seamless this tool is. The comments by default are sorted from oldest to newest as probably to give a much higher chance of being read.

It's pretty simplistic and straight to the point. A sliding bar is found at the middle if you want to vote at values other than what was listed. There are 4 separate buttons if you only want to "Vote" the comment, only "Reply" to it or "Vote and Reply" at the same time. Choosing "Ignore" will remove the unanswered message from the inbox.

To reiterate, Fast-Reply only lists unanswered comments, if you have already replied to a particular comment then you'll never see it or it gets remove from your inbox.

Fast-Reply also allows you to filter comments from a specific article. If you want to view only unanswered comments from your latest article then this feature is perfect for you.

The biggest feature of this tool is that it allows everyone to somewhat bypass the ~20s blockchain delay between actions feature. Fast-Reply does this by storing the actions in your browser instead of sending them directly to the blockchain. A background process will run to execute those queued pending actions with respect to the blockchain delay.

If you look closely at the top right, you'll see how many pending upvotes/comments are on queue. It is recommended not to close the browser until the counters indicate zero. You can also Start/Stop pending events anytime by clicking the Start/Stop button.

Security

Fast-Reply uses SteemConnect to handle authentication, which is pretty much what almost if not all third party applications and platform now use. It uses only the posting role to interact with the Steem blockchain.

It's also made by @roxane, a well known Steemian in the French community and her post was even resteemed by one witness in the top 30 @teamsteem.

To read the full details about this awesome new tool, I highly suggest reading this post made by one of its creators, @roxane: Fast-Reply (v0.1) : Never miss to answer a comment again (& do it faster than ever) !.

Yup, that's me alright :_)

Lol I barely even get any comments myself.
Just want to share it for those who have many fans :)

Honestly man, that article I made about the Steam censorship stuff made me so happy just because it got some real comments on it.

Some of them were with me, some of them were against me. It felt like a real conversation. I wish Steem did more to encourage that. Cuz getting comments there felt better than a curie vote.

Lol I get what you mean.

But it was after all an interesting topic. People mostly comment on things they can relate too, they have knowledge on or a controversial topic that somehow pisses them off.

And yeah I kind of wish Steem is doing something to improve the social aspect of this platform. From the looks of it, the majority of the account remaining are bots, vote-sellers and circle-jerkers. It's clearly losing the social part. :)

P.S.: I still think that a curie vote feels better though ha ha

Stellar post! Looks like you turned that experience of getting delisted (sorry again lol) into a great post and finding a new tool! YAY! It all came back around- thanks for hunting, we'll see you again sure I'm sure :)

wow,its amazing.
