Bounty: 5 Steem: How does reward sharing/adding of beneficiaries work?

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Is there documentation of how reward sharing works?

Or some code example?

We are looking for this from a developer perspective.

For users they could just use SteemPlus

Sort:

I thought only the apps could do that? I guess this blockchain can do everything. lol
This is my first time hearing about @steem-plus.
It seems like you should be a witness.

i didn't know about steemplus before.. now i do.

Hey @knircky
The best way to share post rewards with other beneficiaries is to use the chrome extension SteemPlus. It works for Steemit, Busy and Utopian as well.

You can download the extension here -
https://steemit.com/steem/@steem-plus/steemplus-extension-now-available-on-chrome-opera-and-firefox
It works for google chrome, Opera and Firefox so you can basically use it anywhere.

After downloading and installing the extension, you'll need to allow it gain access via steemconnect.

Adding beneficiaries for each post after that is pretty simple.

  • Write your article as you would normally do, include the title, body and tags.

  • Once you're done, instead of click Post, click on "Add Beneficiaries" under the Preview zone:

  • You can add as many beneficiaries as you want as long as the total percentage doesn't exceed 95%.
Your share of your own post will be 100% minus total percentage of other beneficiaries minus a small 5% share for SteemPlus.

This is the best service I could find. I believe it provides just what you need. Although they take 5%, I think it's worth the service they provide.
They also have a discord channel for steemplus incase you have any questions.
https://discord.gg/vKtTFg

Speaking of discord, I think steem-bounty should have a discord server as well. Users are growing quite fast.

I need the code how to do this not the end user ui.

There is a rule i steemit how rewards should given there will be .25% curation deduction,(who voted)
and the remaining .75% will be divided in two parts.
1 part is given to you as SBD and the other is as steem power.
Thanks

Yes there is a documentation. Did a little research

You can now add beneficiaries to your posts directly on Steemit. This will be adapted to Busy once the new version is live. For information, here is the Commit.

So basically, all you have to do is installing or updating your version of SteemPlus, make sure you have the v1.7 and you are good to post!

Let's say you want to post an article about how awesome it was to meet other Steemians at the SteemFest and you want to let them share part of the reward, it has never been easier!
