New Dolphin Splashing Around - Invested Today!

Finally joined the Dolphin Ranks today. Over the last couple months of low value, I kept remembering how I kept cursing when price was high stating "I wish I had bought more when STEEM was 30 cents! Well, the time has come. I invested and powered up to Dolphin level today. Now just Hodling until the next spike and beyond.

I have great confidence that this will be one of the top surviving blockchain investments and will take off again soon. It's funny how much pain it was getting purchased, with CoinBase now requiring Debit card, and then my bank blocking the purchase 5 times, and putting hold on my card for fraud. Took several phone calls to make it happen, but perseverance pays off, just like Hodling. At least with STEEMIT, we get this great entertainment and social media / photography platform while we wait!

Don't be one of those "wishers" when the price goes back up. Buy low, Sell high. Now is the time to buy.

    Hi, there is a way to buy Steem with no fee at Coinbase. Place a ACH Depot from your bank with Coin base Pro ( no charge ). Buy BTC on Coinbase Pro ( no charge ). Send to Blocktrades for Steem ( no fee to withdraw and send to blocktrades🤗
    I send to Bittrex instead of Blocktrades I think the fees are lower

    Thanks for that info @silvertop. Using that method do you have to setup/connect your bank account to CoinBase (I saw how to do that for withdrawls, but didn't see could purchase that way too. Or do you just send them paper or electronic check like from bill pay account?

      I set up the ACH with my checking account at Coinbase, after you are set up just sign into Coinbase Pro. I go to BTC/USD market and it has a drop down menu for deposit USD. I buy BTC as a “ market maker only” and there is no charge to buy or withdraw. Then sending BTC to Bittrex and buying Steem gives me a smaller fee. The only negative I have is ACH’s are not instantaneous.....banks....🙄

      Thanks for that info! I am going to try that next time myself. It was a pretty good size fee on the debit card. I think having to wait the day or three to avoid the fee good in most cases.

        I agree, I hate to wait for the bank ACH to clear but It’s Worth the wait 😊

        Is there a easier way to buy steem? Congratulations. When the price goes up I wanna be happy too! Lol

          Not that I know of, but perhaps some other folks can weigh in. I think the banks are feeling threatened and are intentionally making it difficult.
          Here's the process I went through:

          1. Open Coinbase (or other) Wallet account.
          2. Bought LiteCoin using Debit Card from Coinbase. (Bitcoin or other major coin also works, check for xfer ability)
          3. Then went into Steemit Wallet, chose "Buy Steem" from the Steem drop-down.
          4. This opens BlockTrades website.
          5. Choose your type of xfer, For me was Litecoin to Steem (Can also buy SBD or Steempower directly).
          6. It will give you a deposit Address.
          7. Go back to Coinbase site in other window.
          8. Open your Coinbase accounts, scroll to your Litecoin wallet (or other).
          9. Choose to "Send" your preferred amount and paste in the deposit address you got from the BlockTrades site.
          10. Only took about 30 minutes for it to fully verify all 6 checks and complete. (Was visible sooner).
          11. Back to Steemit wallet and PoweredUp STEEM to STEEMPower. (I intentionally did it this way to keep some STEEM in account.

          I think yes, if this was easier to purchase, would be so much better for the platform. Be sure to put in your request to Coinbase support to integrate STEEM directly!
          Others may recommend other than Coinbase Wallet, it's just what I started with back in the day.
