Why isn't Steemit the New BitcoinTalk Forum yet?

Somethings in the world still remains a mystery to me, like why the fuck isn't Steemit the NEW BitcoinTalk yet?

Kinda makes sense doesn't it?

The BitcoinTalk forum is so old and seriously needs an update, and if any community can handle change, surely it's the crypto community.

Welcome to the 21st Century, it's time for a change.

Steemit is the New BitcoinTalk

Yeah, that's right, Steemit already has a massive crypto community and this isn't just a place for Steem enthusiasts it's so much more.

And best of all you can earn crypto-currency here just for contributing to your favorite crypto community. Steemit is an incredible platform and once you've earned a few Steem tokens you can trade them into any currency you choose.

Steem/BTC and SBD/BTC trading pairs are available on a number of popular exchanges.

Of course, you can always hedge your bets, power up and leverage your SP to earn curation rewards or if don't have the time, just delegate to the bot farm and earn a consistent return on your investment.

Steemit really has a massive opportunity to become the New BitcoinTalk and since there are more Alt Coin discussions than Bitcoin conversations happening on the forum the brand really isn't really relevant anymore.

It should be really be called CryptoTalk.

Geez, someone really needs to make a new forum styled interface for the Steem Blockchain and create the 21st Century BitcoinTalk.

ChainBB was open sourced, so you could start there, but it needs a new coat of paint for sure.

It'll just take a small team of people to make this a reality. I don't have the skills but maybe you do.

So why isn't Steemit the New BitcoinTalk yet?

Somebody needs to post the links to steemit, discord and telegram for those people. lol

Ive never used bitcointalk but it looks like something out of the dark ages

Marketing of steem and steemit community not that much good. That's why, after having these much active people working, yet not much response. Ned should come up with some good marketing strategy.

Most other crypto communities market themselves. We shouldn't wait for @ned but rather work on promoting Steem in our own way.

I'm not sure if Steemit INC even has a marketing department because they've totally dropped the ball on funding Steem dev projects apparently and these would be easy wins.

I expect these devs will just move to EOS given a chance.

Yeah, we could do some too. We can promote ourselves. Most of the people are unaware about the platform. It will be huge, if we can get to them.

Steemit INC owns Steemit. The community owns STEEM. Everyone is waiting for someone else to do the marketing. #promo-steem is the exception.

I am still new to the crypto world. So, it is hard to digest all together for me. I will try my best to keep up. Thanks

These two graphs do not represent real traffic on steem blockchain because it does not account for busy.org Utopia etc. I think if you added them all up they would be way higher... plus I think it is only a matter of time before we have groups and other organizational structures on steemit.com that make conversations easier. Thanks for the post.

I know right and BitcoinTalk had a 10-year head start :D

You are comparing two different things. BitcoinTalk was created by the one and only Satoshi to create a forum to share knowledge and to develop the bitcoin/blockchain technology which was at its first stages, while steemit was created much later after the cryptocurrency technology became a little more mature. While BitcoinTalk purpose is to share information only about cryptocurrencies and without any motives Steemit is a blogging and social networking website which means it's not only about bitcoin/blockchain/cryptocurrency subjects and the users are motivated to post to gain rewards and thus money so you can find a lot more of junk posts posted by people who only want to earn a few bucks.
Btw I love both sites I just think they can coexist togther

Absolutely they can co-exist and people aren't going to just ship anytime soon because people don't like change.

I'm just saying the Steem Blockchain could provide a better alternative for crypto communities especially when HF20 is released.
Someone just needs to make a better interface that could serve these communities.

Steemit is horribly disorganized.. it's hard to find any content you want, and it's even harder to get those posts seen by anybody. Bitcointalk gives you a fair chance to be seen.

Communities are coming in Hard Fork 20 so that is all about to change. Hang in there.

Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I've smashed the upvote button for you! I think Bitcointalk has a different concept and use than Steemit. Maybe when Steemit is bigger than Bitcointalk, then maybe.

Also, if you are looking to get some tokens without investing or mining check out Crowdholding (https://www.crowdholding.com). They are a co-creation platform were you get rewarded for giving feedback to crypto startups on the platform. You can earn Crowdholding's token as well as DeepOnion, ITT, Smartcash and many other ERC-20 tokens.

This post drove me into thinking. An interesting post was thankful for sharing this post

You can not stop things like cryptocurrencies. It will be everywhere and the world will have to readjust itself. We have decided to put our money and our faith into a mathematical structure that is free from human or political mistakes.
