INFLUENCE OF POLITICAL CONFLICTS AND WARS ON DESERTIFICATION IN AFRICA:

Political conflicts and wars especially in Somalia, Liberia, Angola, have led to the destruction of vegetation. Forests are partly destroyed in the bid to eliminate rebel hiding grounds. Consequently, this eliminates the source of atmospheric vapour leading to reduced humidity rainfall, and rising temperatures hence desertification.
