That’s a waste of internationally opened SNS!

I came to enjoy Steemit thanks to foreign people recently. I'm angry at my poor English, but I can express my feelings in English somehow. The best part of Steemit is meeting intellectuals. It's a waste not to use it. What shall we talk about?

My interest, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I get what you mean.
IT IS a HUGE WASTE of a great platform.
People need to know that posting food-porn-shots like the ones on facebook and instagram doesn't work on Steemit.

Sorry I don't know much about Alexandra, but I'd love to comment on your political posts in the future!

Wow, you speak English very well! Please don't be hard on me.

Thank you for giving me your understanding about that. food-porn-shots... I didn’t know that word, I learned a lot. Topics on food seem to be safe ones, but I’m fed up with that because Facebook and Steemit are flooded with them.

If you comment on my political posts, I’ll get motivated to write articles.

I also like meeting foreign people :) I once went to Japan and had a blast there. Speaking English has been a blessing toward my hobby of exploring other cultures.

I wouldn't enjoy Steem so much if I hadn't learned it when I was young.

Nowadays I want to speak in other languages online but English is the de-facto ruler of languages. I'd like to make some posts in Spanish, others in French, others in Esperanto. It would be cool but not many people would read them.

Thank you for your comment. I’m happy to share the same feeling with you. You’ve been to Japan, that’s great :) I know Venezuela’s musical education system El Sistema and a conductor Gustavo Dudamel. I respect maestro José Antonio Abreu Anselmi.

It’s really convenient for me to speak English to talk with people all over the world. Since I’m a Japanese, I’m bad at English. I’d studied English at junior high school, senior high school and college for eight years, but I couldn’t master the English language. I studied English again since becoming an adult.

I want to speak in other languages online, too. Although I admit English is the champion of languages, I have mixed feelings about this. I like the Latin languages. But, I don’t understand them. Eventually, I’ll go back to speaking English.

That's why many Japanese learn Esperanto. It's a neutral language that is easy to learn. It has a lot of Latin roots, it also shares a lot with Germanic languages such as English, German and the Scandinavian languages, and it also carries Slavic grammar. It's really easy to learn other languages once you learn this one.

In my case, I also studied English at school for many years, but the education system here in Venezuela is really not that good for foreign languages. It's been getting worse by the day due to governmental regulations.

I learned it better when I was studying languages in my university. It was really cool! I loved the experience. Learning languages is awesome and it feels great to the mind, like watering a flower.

I always go back to English as well. It's the universal language, after all. Everyone speaks it and all the information I need is in this language. I think you're exceptional in Japan. People there are really isolative and block themselves in their own language and culture.

This is changing lately, though, given the popularisation of American media. I've seen that many Japanese are starting to try to learn English and learn about Europe and Christianity. It's a bit scary to see the dilution of a culture in such a manner.

Gustavo Dudamel is a great man. He got in trouble with the government for defending the right of children to study music. He said that more money needed to be put in music and less in violence, then he was silenced and condemned in the media. It was a sad sight. I hope he's doing well now.

That’s good to know. Japanese people like being neutral. I googled Esperanto. At first sight, I received the impression that it’s the languages of Eastern Europe. It’s good the past tense isn’t divided.

The education system in Japan is not that good for foreign languages, either. I doubt those of power in this country don’t want the people to master English because they don’t want us to find foreigners’ good way of thinking and good social systems.

Learning languages is awesome. I think so, too. I’m fortunate and I have to appreciate my Facebook friends, who tell the real state of things in foreign countries to me. At least, Japanese people on Steemit put themselves in a certain condition as you say. It’s important to protect our own culture, but in our case, nationalism exists in our country, the rapid westernization, finally we’ll go to invade neighbor countries.

I think Dudamel really understands Beethoven’s music and thoughts. I feel for him. I guess the former President Hugo Chávez was understanding of him. How was it about?
