they degrade our images
they flag opposing non-mainstream views

And if the cryptomarket continues to go sideways for another 6 months, there's not much stopping this trend.
The definitive nail in the coffin would be a whole new platform based on another coin that deals with all the Steemit flaws and guarantees free speech - within limits of decent behaviour.

This is very annoying.
But maybe this is how it goes...
Maybe there will be an alternative in the future that works better.
