In case you didn't know, majority of young stars in Nigeria came to the crypto space through steemit.
A lot of people had absolutely no idea what cryptocurrency was until steemit came. Thanks to all the promoters of steemit in Nigeria, now we have a big cryptocurrency community that is not just hungry for making money, No! But a community that is hungry for the change that this technology can bring to her system.
One thing that I'm waiting to see is a Blockchain run election in Nigeria. I don't know when this is gonna be done but I know that as soon as a lot of Nigerians get to know about Blockchain technology and its importance, then that future won't embed far away.
Right now a lot of people don't know much about Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, most people still see it as ponzi schemes some see cryptocurrency as a money for crime or online theft.. But with time, this will change.

A lot still needs to be done to sensitize especially the middle aged class of the society. It is only a matter of time. The youths have embraced it no doubt @samstickkz

This is a laudable initiative. Thumbs up to the organizers. Crypto and Blockchain tech awareness in Nigeria is really increasing ; though not at the pace I expect it to be yet. However I am very hopeful that within the next five years Nigerians would have fully adopted these technologies and wiould have started enjoying the benefits. The Nigerian government is aware of these technologies and have started doing researches and looking in their direction. So, the dream of having a blockchain-backed electoral processes will definitely happen someday.
