Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 14/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 14/4/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

After 30 months we reached dolphin and I'm sure once the price goes up higher it will be more beneficial to us all. Now then on March 10th we have seen Steem reach it's highest for the year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins they have recently been holding at the $5000 mark, the highest for Bitcoins near the latest upwave is $5390. For the last few days Bitcoins and been holding around $5300 but 3 days ago it fell pretty fast, going from $5338 to $4981 today despite it's fall Bitcoins as managed to stay above the $5000 mark staying mostly under $5100. For Steem they were trying to hold around the $0.50 mark as we began rising but right now that is not the case. Our overall ranking position is around #50 amongst all the other cryptos. As you know we beat the January high marking our highest value at $0.55 which we were recently close to beating. The past few days have been presenting themselves with various opportunities to buy into Steem on I believe the 11th was the better day to buy. The drop in Steem was expected but not down to $0.40 so quick. We started today again at $0.42 and it seemed like not much was going to change for the day as Steem wouldn't move from $0.42...well it did eventually at ⏰06.40 but it when downward to $0.41. At 08.15 Steem was back to $0.42 and so it tried again to shift, this time going in the right direction at ⏰09.40 upwards to $0.43. By ⏰10.15 it fell back to $0.42 and I wouldn't blame you for thinking that is where it stopped but ⏰13.35 Steem bounced back to $0.43 this time holding for now. Anyway if nothing much will happen for Steem in 2019 which is slowly looking more doubtful then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting because right now we are in a seriously good place to grow our accounts remember as the price goes up higher collecting actual Steem becomes more difficult. I also want to make it clear that I was apparently wrong in pulling the trigger too fast that we was out of survival mode, it seems according to Steem INC they still found themselves to be in survival mode but now we are officially crawling out. But longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Did you know that after the wallet split from steemit.com is complete that both logged in and non-logged in users will see the adds on Steemit.com, I would rather not but understand this is part of keeping us out of survival mode if that was to happen again. It's also come to my attention people are still learning about the wallet split and feel this will continue to be a problem for a while so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and dont use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com, also when you click on your wallet yes you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. After your initial log-in you wont need to use your masterkey and so if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, which we have seen for the last 4 days. I was in hope that with Bitcoins going up we would of stayed above the $1.00 mark as we started at $0.98 for today which is where it mostly stayed at, sure it fell a few times to $0.97 and $0.99 but averaged $0.98 until ⏰14.35 when it went upwards to the $1.00 mark and $1.01, later around ⏰19.05 it reached $1.02 it fell back to $1.01 but seems to be trying for $1.02 lets just hope its stays above $1.00.
